In letter union demanded for bank employees for family pension of 30% of pay without ceiling to the family of deceased bank staff . Decision of no monetary ceiling was already agreed between bank union and iba for bank family pensioners . but clearance from government not received yet for pension to family after death of bank staff without ceiling . Hence bank union requested finance minister to give approval for bank family pension soonest .
Bank Staff also get NPS . New Pension Scheme started in banks w.e.f. 01.04.2010 . Bank Contributes 10 % of pay plus DA in NPS for bank Staff . However central government employees get 14 % . Union & IBA already agreed for 14 % employer contribution in NPS for Bank employees . NPS matter pending with government . Union requested finance minister for immediate approval for 14% contribution for bank employeed in new pension scheme.
